Resources to support teachers

Card 1: Pix - Assessment of digital skills

Objective: Assess your students' digital skills with Pix.

UCLouvain offers the Pix tool to all UCLouvain students. Pix asks questions based on real-life situations, knowledge, or online research tasks. Students earn points and improve their level. As a teacher, you can request campaigns on general or specific skills while setting a target level.

For example, discover "General information on AI and generative AIs" or "Short Assessment".

Interested in setting up an assessment for your students? Complete this form or contact contact-pix@uclouvain.be.

Card 2: AI4ALL on Open Moodle

Objective: Access ready-to-use and customizable educational resources on AI for your courses.

The AI4ALL Moodle space is a resource library designed to contextualize the use of AI at the university while raising awareness of the limitations and risks of these constantly evolving tools. Aimed at both students and teachers, this space allows you to freely download, share, and adapt all modules for your own course spaces. The content can be modified according to your specific pedagogical needs and can be directly integrated into your Moodle courses.

Card 3: Activity - The AI Dilemma

Objective: To take a critical step back to reflect on the uses and issues of AI with your students.

The activity is centered around the conference The AI Dilemma, a one-hour illustrated lecture (available on YouTube) that addresses the individual and collective risks related to the design, dissemination, and use of AI models. It is presented by a computer scientist and an ethicist who worked in the heart of Silicon Valley and founded the "Center for Humane Technology."

Learners first watch the conference on their own while answering a questionnaire to help them assimilate the information. In class, they interactively explore the same content in a playful and systemic way through different layers of reflection (technical, psychological, economic, political, philosophical). This interactive and collaborative activity helps develop complex skills such as dialogue, systemic analysis, and critical thinking regarding the challenges of AI.

LLL offers additional activities to support your needs.

Card 4: 7 Keys to Understanding Generative AI

Objective: Get trained on the administrative uses of generative AI.

This self-paced online training module is your first step towards the informed use of generative AI in your administrative activities at UCLouvain. Structured into 7 thematic sections to be completed at your own pace, it allows you to identify the relevant tools for your functions, recognize the benefits and limitations of AI, categorize data according to its confidentiality, and master writing effective prompts. This training is pre-training module for the workshops organized by FABI/FORM.
