The bioscience engineering study programme consists of 5 years of study (300 credits):
The Bachelor's degree in Bioscience Engineering (3 academic years of 60 credits each = 180 credits in total)
The Master's degree in Bioscience Engineering (2 academic years of 60 credits each = 120 credits in total)
Bachelor’s Degree in Bioscience Engineering (180 credits)
The Bachelor's programme in Bioscience Engineering offers:
A broad core curriculum aimed at building strong scientific foundations — in chemistry, physics, and biology — as well as quantitative skills in mathematics, statistics, and coding
Numerous hands-on laboratory sessions
The opportunity to choose a professional immersion internship in Belgium or abroad
A specialisation track in the third year: Chemistry, Agronomy, or Environment
A gradual introduction to English throughout the programme
The Bachelor's courses are distributed as follows:
Master's degree in Bioscience Engineering (120 crédits)
The Faculty of Bioengineering offers four bioengineering master’s courses:
- Master's degree in Bioscience Engineering - agricultural sciences
- Master's degree in Bioscience Engineering - chemistry and bioindustry
- Master's degree in Bioscience Engineering - environmental science and technology
- Master's degree in Bioscience Engineering - forest and ecosystem management
Each Master's programme offers a wide range of options, some of which are shared across multiple Master's programmes.
