Classes d'innovation transition et développement durable

epl | Louvain-la-Neuve, Charleroi

This course offers an immersive and transdisciplinary experience, centered on Design Thinking and Lean Startup methodologies. It addresses current challenges of sustainability, creativity, and innovation under constraints, providing students with the necessary tools to design concrete solutions to complex socio-technical issues.

Learning outcomes

Students will learn to identify and develop impactful innovative ideas, work in uncertain contexts related to sustainability, integrate stakeholder expectations and user experience (UX), prototype and test solutions in real conditions, manage a project in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment, and effectively communicate an innovative project.

2025 Theme

The careful reuse of electronics applied to mobile phones, with a reflection on the entire lifecycle of components: from reuse to recycling, the aim is to rethink the whole chain in order to build a more sustainable model. Students will work in teams, supported by tutors, with continuous assessment linked to project milestones (gates).

Course launch

From October 1 to 3, 2025 in Amsterdam, with three days of immersion focused on observation, problem definition, and the first interviews, in preparation for the first gate scheduled on October 9.
