Introduction to using the Whisper software

Accurate transcription of your interviews is an important step in the research process in the humanities and social sciences.

To help you with this, we offer researchers at the IACCHOS, ISPOLE, and JURI institutes training in the Whisper tool.

Developed by OpenAI (ChatGPT), Whisper is a powerful transcription tool that supports more than 40 languages (https://github.com/openai/whisper#available-models-and-languages).

Its installation on UCLouvain servers guarantees data confidentiality and security.

However, using Whisper requires a short training session to understand how to use it.

To train you, we are offering a workshop on February 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. For logistical reasons, the number of places is limited.
