The Research Support Service of the Institute

The IACCHOS HUB is a space for interconnection, exchange, and facilitation of scientific knowledge within the IACCHOS Institute. It offers structured and tailored support to meet the research needs of the researchers connected to the Institute.

The mission of the IACCHOS HUB is to support researchers in the implementation and progress of their research projects, from planning to completion, by providing tailored support at every stage of the process.

At the IACCHOS HUB, we are committed to promoting high-quality research, grounded in scientific rigor and sound methodological practices.

We believe in efficient research. Our goal is to enable researchers to quickly access the most suitable resources, methods, and tools to move forward with confidence and achieve their objectives. Our approach simplifies the research process and offers targeted support, allowing everyone to focus on what truly matters: enriching research to better understand societies and their challenges.

We also value ethics and transparency, ensuring open, responsible research that aligns with the highest academic standards.

Our Services

Four types of support, tailored to researchers' needs:

  • Individual: Personalized guidance to address all your research-related questions, including data processing, proofreading, or support for your research projects. You can meet with one or more members of the Hub for specific follow-up.
  • Collective: We organize customized training sessions and workshops for research centers on data analysis tools and methods, data management, responding to calls for proposals, and much more.
  • Academic: We contribute to courses by offering workshops on research tools and methodologies (qualitative analysis, network analysis, transcription, etc.), promoting best practices in research.
  • Institutional: We analyze and process essential data for managing and organizing institutes and research centers. We can assist you in processing data from ADFI, ADRE, ARH, and other strategic sources.

We offer several types of support, depending on your needs:

  • Workshops on good research practices: We organize sessions on research data management, responding to calls for proposals, AI applied to research, and much more.
  • Support for project creation: We assist you in drafting, structuring, and submitting your research projects. This includes reviewing Horizon Europe, FNRS, and other proposals, as well as identifying relevant funding bodies.
  • Methodological support and data collection: We guide you in choosing the most suitable methods and tools for collecting and analyzing your data (questionnaires, interview guides, existing databases, etc.). We have also developed a training course in collaboration with the data ambassadors to ensure good research data management.
  • Training in data processing tools: We help you get started with and master software and languages such as NVivo, Whisper, LaTeX, Python, AI, Cow, and R.
  • AI monitoring: As a research support hub, we closely follow developments in artificial intelligence tools and regularly test new solutions to assess their relevance for research.
