Recherches sociologiques et anthropologiques

iacchos | Louvain-la-Neuve

An Open Access Generalist Journal

Recherches sociologiques et anthropologiques (RS&A) explores social transformations through a diversity of disciplinary perspectives. This international, generalist scientific journal is a key reference in the French-speaking fields of sociology and anthropology — and it also welcomes English-language publications. Created in 1970, the journal is now open to related disciplines such as political science, history, philosophy, socio-economics, and psychosociology. The published research covers a wide range of topics including family and sexualities, digital technologies, art, health, education, religion, and social policies.

RS&A is aimed at researchers, professionals, and students interested in contemporary social transformations and interdisciplinary debates.

An International and Interdisciplinary Journal

The journal is published twice a year (summer and winter). Since its creation in 1970, RS&A has continuously contributed to the dissemination and discussion of social science research. Its archives, with over a hundred issues, are available online. Each volume may include:

  • Critical reviews
  • Book reviews
  • Conceptual frameworks
  • Thematic issues
  • Open-submission articles (Varia)

Hosted by the IACCHOS Institute, RS&A promotes interdisciplinary research and contributes to the international scientific visibility of UCLouvain.
