Louvain Transfer is UCLouvain’s knowledge transfer office (KTO).
Louvain4 is UCLouvain’s cross-disciplinary research initiative. Louvain4 comprises multi- and interdisciplinary research platforms that bring together researchers from different backgrounds around a single strategic societal issue. The aim is to provide concrete answers to the major issues of our time.

Circle U. brings together nine European universities to create international opportunities: UCLouvain, Aarhus Universitet, Univerzitet u Beogradu, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, King’s College London, Universitetet i Oslo, Université Paris Cité, Università di Pisa, Universität Wien.
The Guild brings together 22 of Europe’s most prestigious research-intensive universities in 16 countries to give a voice to universities and their researchers and students.

The LiEU Network, supported by the Walloon Region, brings together the knowledge transfer offices (KTOs), or “value-added services” of the five French-speaking universities (UCLouvain, ULiège, UNamur, UMons and ULB).
Walloon competitiveness clusters
A competitiveness cluster is a grouping of companies and research actors (research centres and university departments) in a booming economic field. The six Walloon competitiveness clusters are:
- BioWin - biotechnology and health sector
- GreenWin - chemical engineering and sustainable materials sector
- Logistics in Wallonia - transport, mobility and logistics sector
- MecaTech - mechanical engineering sector
- Skywin - aerospace sector
- Wagralim - agribusiness sector
European University Association (EUA)
The EUA is the representative organisation of universities in 49 European countries. Through its interaction with a range of other European and international organisations, the EUA ensures that the voice of European universities is heard wherever decisions are taken that will have an impact on their activities.
European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA)
EARMA is the interface between research funding bodies and the scientific community. Active in 35 countries, it is a platform for professional development and the exchange of best practices.
The Coimbra Group is an association of long-established European multidisciplinary universities of high international standing. It is committed to academic and cultural links to promote internationalisation, academic collaboration, excellence in learning and research, and service to society for the benefit of its members.
