Restrictions on data sharing

biul |

The principle governing open data is: “as open as possible, as closed as necessary”.

Data may be closed or access restricted if your datasets contain, among other things: personal data - including sensitive data, confidential data, data protected by copyright, data with potential for commercial use, or data that would violate a prior commitment to data sharing (e.g., a consortium agreement, etc.).

In all cases, the reasons for any restrictions must be explained in the Data Management Plan.
