The mission of the OpenHub is to place its users at the heart of their project by supporting them with the platform’s various resources, guiding them toward autonomy in mastering appropriate technologies.

Technical and scientific expertise

  • Support
       - for mixed audiences (citizens, professionals, students, or academics) in designing innovation projects dedicated to the transition and societal impact (Sustainable Development Goals – SDGs)
       - throughout the transdisciplinary innovation process (guided access to appropriate and appropriable technologies - technology shelves)

  • Service and expertise in participatory, collaborative, and citizen science
  • Promotion and support for the adoption of Open Hardware and Software solutions
  • Prototyping methodology
  • Systemic and ecosystem design practices (Design Thinking, Design4Repair, Ecodesign, etc.)
  • Training on machines and autonomous use (open access)
  • Organization of conference cycles and open-innovation events (with access to infrastructures/equipment spaces)
  • User experience design

  • Mobile prototyping laboratory (Techtruck)
  • Digital fabrication workshop (Fablab) – 3D printers, CNC milling machines, laser cutters, waterjet cutter, thermoforming machine, plastic injection press, PCB prototyping
  • Virtual and augmented reality laboratory (XR, VR, Metaverse, UX)
  • Artificial intelligence and cybersecurity laboratory
