A 600-year-old university

On 9 December 1425, Pope Martin V signed the Sapientie Immarcessibilis bull in Rome, marking the creation of the University of Louvain.
In 2025, UCLouvain is celebrating its 600th anniversary on all of its campuses with the help of the entire university community.
On the programme: events, unique initiatives and many new projects, all to the theme of “Since 1425 and into the future”!
