EPL Mobility Scholarships - Exchange & Joint Degree programmes

To foster and support international student mobility, the Louvain School of Engineering (EPL) offers a limited number of EPL Mobility Scholarships for incoming students participating in an exchange or joint degree programme. This scholarship is designed to provide additional financial support for students who will study at the EPL for one semester or a full academic year.
Scholarships benefits
Each year, EPL awards up to 6 scholarships, each providing:
- €500 per semester
- Up to 2 semesters per student (maximum €1,000)
This scholarship is intended as a contribution towards living expenses during the mobility period (up to two full academic years for double-degree students).
Eligibility criteria
To be considered, applicants must be officially selected by both their home university and EPL/UCLouvain for an exchange or joint degree programme at EPL.
Selection process
Applications are reviewed by EPL based on the overall quality of the file, including academic background and motivation. Selected candidates will be notified of the outcome in the course of May.
How to Apply?
To apply, you must provide:
- Official confirmation from your home university and the EPL/UCLouvain stating that you have been selected for an academic exchange or joint degree programme at EPL for the upcoming academic year.
- An up‑to‑date résumé (CV)
- A motivation letter outlining your study plan and your motivation for joining UCLouvain as an exchange or joint degree student and rationale for applying for this scholarship.
Applications must be submitted by 30 April, following the standard timeframe for exchange and joint degree application processes.
* As this scholarship scheme is newly launched, the application deadline is exceptionally extended to 23 October 2026 for incoming exchange students selected for Spring Semester 2027. Selected candidates will be notified in the course of November.
