Online courses

uclouvain |

To make its courses more accessible to students who live far away or are busy during the day, UCLouvain uses e-learning in a variety of ways.

Massive open online courses (MOOCs)

The Louvain moocXperience is a project aimed at developing online courses open to everyone. The project explores new forms of online and on-campus teaching.

Among the first in Belgium to offer MOOCs, UCLouvain offers them as part of the international edX consortium.

MOOCs are fully online courses open to anyone, with no access requirements and free of charge (with the exception of certified courses leading to a qualification). Anyone interested can therefore discover new knowledge or update their existing knowledge via professors from prestigious universities. Faculties also use MOOCs to offer students a wider range of electives provided by other universities in Europe.

Through MOOCs, UCLouvain aims to explore new forms of learning, both online and in the classroom.
