Preparing for university
uclouvain |
Are you finishing secondary school, completing your bachelor’s degree, or an adult returning to education? UCLouvain offers a wide range of support to assist new students. The aim is to help you prepare for your arrival at UCLouvain and familiarise yourself with your future study environment.
Preparatory courses
- We offer preparatory courses to help you start the new academic year with confidence. These will enable you to:
- prepare for the entrance exams required for certain courses;
- refresh or consolidate your subject knowledge relevant to your course;
- adapt or improve your study methods;
- confirm or refine your study plans.
Applying to the university
You can apply directly online. The application period may vary depending on your profile.
First steps at the university
Once you have completed your online enrolment, you will be asked to follow a few steps to finalise your administrative procedures, activate your digital tools and access the essential information you need to get off to a good start at UCLouvain.
Welcome and orientation week
Every year before the start of the academic year, a welcome and orientation week is organised for new students. This week gives you the opportunity to:
- learn about the campuses;
- meet other students;
- immerse yourself in university life.
Learning support
To support you on your journey, we offer a wide range of services designed to help you succeed: one-to-one support, study skills workshops, supervised study sessions, and more.
Resources for secondary schools
We also offer activities for secondary teachers and their students, either on our campuses or directly in schools.
