Your Annual Programme (PAE)

Composition of your PAE

Your PAE will be based on the Master program you have choosen with the following guidelines:

• Number of credits to validate by section
  - Core Courses
  - Focus
  - Options
  - Elective courses
• A balance distribution between the quadrimesters (ideally 30 credits by Quadri) and between Master 1 & 2 (60 credits by year)

Online registration of your PAE (16/09/2025 - 30/09/2025)

Register ONLINE to your program via My UCL - Widget "Mes études"/"Mon dossier étudiant"/Composition de mon programme annuel - See Tutorial

Select the program you will register to:

• Master 60: ECON2M1
• Master 120: ECON2MS/G or ECON2MA or ETRI2MA

Compose your program with the following guidelines in mind:

• Your Program has to meet the official structure of the Master program: 

  • Master 60 / 1-year programme / 60 credits
    • Two Options of Specialisation - 30 credits
    • Three elective courses or 1 additional Option of Specialisation - 15 credits
    • One TFE (Travail de fin d'études) - 15 credits
  • Master 120 / 2-year programme / 120 credits
    • Core Course - 25 credits
    • One Focus : Professional OR Research - 30 credits
    • Options - 45 credits
    • Electives Courses - 20 credits
    • Thesis - 20 credits

  NOTE: For the Master 120 - Professional Focus - ECON2MS/G  
  You  will be able to choose in the second year between an internship (15 credits) + 4 electives (20 credits) OR an International Exchange (30 credits) + 1 elective (5 credits)

Deadlines

All the programs will be approved by the Jury of Cycle before October 15th at the latest. Please check your Dashboard after that date to check the final version of your PAE.

Program Requests

You can submit a request in the following cases:

• If you previously have followed a course similar in content to the one imposed in the program, you can ask for credit exemption (maximum 5 credits) 
• If you cannot follow a whole option during one academic year due to schedule conflict or language issues, you can ask for a modification of the option's structure 
• If you want to follow an additional language course in your master program, you can motivate your request and indicate the course code If you want to follow an elective course OUTSIDE the program, you have to append a course description 
• If you cannot follow the requested seminars (Economic Analysis Sem + Contemp. Issues Sem.) due to schedule conflict or language issues 
• If you want to add one or several courses to your study program (Be mindful that the annual program should not exceed 75 credits) (> 60 credits excluding pre-requisites) 
• Only at the beginning of Q2: if you want to replace 1 complete option by another complete option OR 1 elective course by another elective course (Be mindful that the total amount of credits of your program must stay unchanged) 

The requests must be approved by the Jury Committee.
