OSIS Dissertation is the application that allows teachers, students & program coordinator to interact together during the different stages of the dissertation.

Steps to register your thesis topic online:

We remind you that you should have the written approval of the professor that he/she'll supervise your thesis before starting the online process. Only one topic can be registered.

Step 1: Log into the online thesis application using the same ID as for your dashboard - My UCL.

Step 2: Click on the second link "Mémoires" and on “ +

Step 3: Choose your supervisor and his/her general research topic (you'll be able to enter your specific topic in the following step)

Note: if you cannot find the name of your thesis supervisor or need to adapt the name, please get in touch with the student office.

Step 4: Fill in the online form

  • Intitulé: insert the thesis title discussed with your thesis supervisor

  • Programmes: select your programme

  • Sujet de mémoire = select your thesis director

  • Période de défense: select "undefined" (or the potential exam session you intend on doing your defense : January – June - September (not restricting) )

  • Année de defense: select the academic year of the defense (not restricting)

  • Site de rattachement: Louvain-La-Neuve

  • Description: this step is compulsory for the ECON2MA - ETRI2MA - QEM: the description must contain the research plan / a relevant bibliography and the abstract. It is optional for the other programs

  • SAVE  ("sauvegarder") - to be submitted to the promoter

Step 5: (Not compulsory): Only if discussed with your thesis director, you can add a potential reader (see Jury de mémoire)

Step 6: The thesis director will receive an automatic e-mail containing your proposal.

Step 7: The thesis director approves your topic online

Step 8: Your topic is submitted to the thesis committee for final approval and they will subsequently designate a reader
