Conversation tables

The Institute of Modern Languages at UCLouvain invites you to take part, free of charge, in the conversation tables organised by the ILV, in collaboration with the KAPs (UCLouvain’s project-based student halls) and the ESN LLN network, the Erasmus Student Network Louvain-la-Neuve!

See the programme, by language, for Q2 2025–2026:
  • WHEN ? Tuesday evening, 7.30pm to 9pm (from Week 02 to Week 11)
     
  • WHERE? 
    • ∗ Espace L (1st floor ILV) > Week11, Esop 33 (3d  floor ILV) !
    • ∗ Esop 22 (2d floor ILV)

  • WHAT? Conversation groups, run by Babbelkot, where any UCLouvain student (whether or not they’re taking German as part of their study programme) can come along to practise, maintain and improve their knowledge of the language of Goethe, Vondel or even Shakespeare
     

 

 

  • WHEN? Monday, 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm (From week 02 until week 11)

  • WHAT? Spanish and Portuguese conversation tables organised by Latino Amerikap

Levels B1, B2 & C1

 

  • WHEN? Wednesdays at lunchtime, 1.00 pm to 2.00 pm (From week 02 until week 13)

     

  • WHERE? Espace L (1st floor ILV)

     

  • WHAT? Conversation groups for UCLouvain students with a good level of French 

     

  • WHO? ESN, Erasmus Student Network 
  • WHEN? Monday evenings, 7.30pm to 9.30pm (even-numbered weeks, from week 2 to week 12 + week 11 instead of week 10... public holiday!)

     

  • WHERE? Espace L (1st floor ILV) 

     

  • WHAT? Japanese conversation sessions, run by Kot Manga, take place roughly every two weeks. Through vocabulary sheets, fun games and suggested topics, participants (whether beginners or advanced learners) get to practise their favourite language!
    Kot Manga also invites Japanese Erasmus students to these sessions to help them improve their French.
