Our French as a foreign language courses are for you :-)

We'll guide you through the process step by step :

  1. From 12 September 2026 - 08:30, take the online orientation test.
  2. Attend 1 of the 2 INFO sessions on September 2026 (TBC) (at ESOP33 at ILV, Traverse d'Esope 1).

For beginner levels in French (A0-A1-A2): 12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m.

For intermediate and advanced levels (B1-B2-C1): 1:15 p.m. - 1:45 p.m.

      They are given face-to-face and exclusively in Louvain-la-Neuve !
     
  2. From the week of 14 September, go to class and attend the course·s

      We no longer accept new students after week 05 (Term 1) / after Week 04 (Term 2)  
     
  3. When your French teacher, in person, confirms your place on the course·s, register according to your status...

 

 

 

Courses are available from level A1 (beginners) to level C1 (advanced) in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

 

You will learn how to communicate in French orally and in writing by studying grammar and vocabulary. Our aim is to help you integrate into the life of the university and the town of Louvain-la-Neuve.

 

All kind of activities (exhibitions, movies, theatre, visits, talks, etc.) accompany the courses.

 

Our team of teachers has developed its own unique pedagogical approach which is the result of its applied research in French as a foreign language.
