The ILV – Language Institute of the UCLouvain offers general and specialised German courses, from beginner to advanced level.
Where ?
Courses are held exclusively on the Louvain-la-Neuve campus.
Our approach
Our course units (known by the French acronym “UE”) are based on communicative and interactive learning methods, aligned with the CEFR, Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Our offer
We offer two types of course units :
1) Faculty courses
Select your ESPO Faculty or your FIAL Faculty to find out which German courses are offered in LLN, at Bachelor's and Master's level.
2) "All faculties" courses
“All faculties” courses are open to
- UCLouvain students
as part of their study programme (PAE), subject to approval from the ILV Teacher, for final approval of the Faculty Select Committee
outside their programme (as "Free Students")
as part of an exchange programme, following selection (registration via 'ERAS LV')
- UCLouvain staff members ;
- Non-UCLouvain people ("free student")
How to register ?
- Select the “All faculties” courses, then choose the course code corresponding to your level
- Please consult the registration pages and follow the procedure that applies to your situation.
