Who is the UCLouvain Institute of Modern Languages?
- It is a dedicated team of around 90 teachers (known as ‘Maîtres de langues’) and administrative and technical staff, driven by a passion for languages, their teaching, their learning and educational innovation;
- It also comprises nearly 17,000 students – including around 700 international students from all corners of the globe – spread across just under 800 groups.
What is the ILV?
- It is an institute with two different sites, in Louvain-la-Neuve and Mons, comprising seven departments, including the ‘ILV – Hainaut Department’,
- offering 14 languages,
- with over 220 courses based on the CEFR, the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages,
- around 24,000 teaching hours per academic year!
