Engage est le centre de recherche en sciences de l’information et de la communication (SIC) de l’UCLouvain Saint-Louis Bruxelles.
Engage est, depuis octobre 2019, le nom du Pôle de Recherches sur la Communication et les Médias (PReCoM).
Engage étudie les pratiques au travers desquelles les acteurs sociaux s’engagent les uns avec les autres et dans la société plus large, en se focalisant sur les aspects médiatiques, communicationnels et discursifs. De cet engagement émergent des sphères publiques. Engage explore les attitudes et les pratiques constitutives de cette “publicité” (en anglais publicness). Il examine la manière dont les acteurs sociaux pratiquent l’interaction, la participation et le débat via différents médias.
