lsm | Louvain-la-Neuve, Mons, Charleroi

Pre-selection Process (LSM as home university): COHORT 2026-28

Apply now until March 1st, 2026!

The 2nd round of applications will open from September 1st, 2026 until October 5th, 2026.

This pre-selection process aims at determining whether access to the chosen Double Degree can be granted or not based on your current situation.

Note: If you wish to pursue a Double Degree with LSM and your university is a partner institution, consult your university’s website for requirements and procedures. You must also meet LSM’s academic access requirements.

Academic requirements:

Meet the requirements to access the LSM Master 120 in Business Engineering or the Master 120 in Management. You must satisfy the LSM academic access requirements to access the master. The requirements and the access process differ according to your academic profile (PLEASE CHECK THE SPECIFIC DEADLINES).

Degree TypeRequirementException / Alternative
Non-Belgian degreeGMAT total score ≥ 550Holders of a degree from a CEMS or Double Degree partner university: instead of GMAT, a B ECTS grade is required
Belgian degreeMinimum average of 67% in Belgian Bachelor's degreeIf below 67%: must submit GMAT ≥ 550 at the time of the application

Language requirements

A C1 English level is required for the Double Degree.

No certificate is required for the DD application; however, students with a non-Belgian degree must already provide a B2 certificate (IELTS 6.5 / TOEFL 89) for the Master’s application.

English proficiency will be assessed during the DD interview. If your level is insufficient but your profile is strong, the jury may preselect you and request an official C1 certificate (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL) by July 1, 2026.

Note: Some partner universities may also require an English test at registration.

Procedure requirement

Fill in the DD application form, presenting your individual skills, professional projects, motivation, and academic project for the chosen Double Degree. (see STEP 2 below)

Please note: your pre-selection for your Double degree remains PROVISIONAL until the results of the June 2026 exam session. You must acquire min. 60 ECTS credits of LSM Master's level courses (languages courses and prerequisite courses excluded).

If you fail 1 or more exams in January or June, you will be DROPPED OUT of the Double degree and put back into the regular LSM Master’s degree, without any exchange.

The pre-selection interview lasts approximately 20 minutes and is held in English (and in Dutch for the Dutch/English LSM/KU Leuven Double degree).

Please note that in case of non-respect, the applicant will not be invited to the interview nor be reimbursed for the application fee.

DD Criteria and Pre-selection Results

Three criteria will be taken into account during the selection :

1) Academic results of each university studies year;

2) The applicant's profile is based on motivation, professional experience, personal skills (initiative, leadership, entrepreneurship, team spirit, cultural openness, etc.), and a strong academic project for the chosen Double Degree;

3) Language skills: the English level required for the Double degree is equivalent to a C1 level. An English certificate is not required for the DD application. Please note that students with a non-Belgian degree will have to submit an English B2 certificate (IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 89) for the Master's application. For all DD applicants, the C1 level in English will be evaluated during the pre/selection interview.

In case your level of English is not good enough during the interview but your profile corresponds to the Double degree, the selection jury could decide to preselect you and ask for an official certificate (TOEFL, IETLS,...) to be handed in by July 1st, 2026.

The selection jury could preselect you under certain condition(s) such as proving you have improvement:

  • In English in case of a level under the requirement. In this case, an English certificate must be submitted by July 1st, 2026.
  • On academic results for a future exam session.

Within a week or two after the interview, candidates will be notified of the jury's decision.

If preselected to the Double degree, please enroll in LSM Master's degree in Business Engineering (INGE2MS/G) or Management (GEST2MS/GE) as soon as possible (the sooner you are enrolled at UCLouvain/LSM, the sooner you will get your access). UCLouvain students and new students need to register online through this portal: https://uclouvain.be/en/study/inscriptions/futurs-etudiants.html

Please note:

  • Candidates with a non-Belgian Bachelor's degree must provide a GMAT 550 or TageMage 240 or GRE 155 in Quantitative Reasoning test for the official enrollment (holders of a degree from a CEMS or Double Degree partner university are exempted from providing the test).

  • When starting the Master's at the Louvain School of Management in September 2025, the Double degree student must hold a Bachelor's university degree (For DD students who have done a preparatory module, because they hold a short type Bachelor, they must have finished and successfully passed every course of the LSM preparatory module).

Your preselection for your Double degree remains PROVISIONAL until the results of the June 2026 exam session. Indeed, you must acquire min. 60 ECTS credits of LSM Master's level courses (languages courses and prerequisite courses excluded).

If you fail 1 or more exams in January or June, you will be DROPPED OUT of the Double degree and put back into the Annual Block 2 of the regular LSM Master’s degree, without any exchange.
