Costs of the CEMS MIM at UCLouvain

Studying the CEMS Master in International Management (MIM) at UCLouvain's Louvain School of Management (LSM) is a high-value investment in your international career. While tuition at UCLouvain is relatively affordable compared to many other top European universities, there are a few additional fees and costs specific to the CEMS programme and student life at LSM. UCLouvain Tuition Fees

You only need to pay the UCLouvain tuition fees to enroll in the CEMS Master in International Management (MIM) at Louvain School of Management (LSM).

Tuition fees at UCLouvain vary depending on your student status:

- EU/EEA and Belgian students pay a standard fee.

Non-EU students may be subject to higher tuition fees.

No Additional Fees for CEMS at LSM

At LSM, there are no additional tuition fees for the CEMS MIM programme. 

 

Study Abroad and Internship: No Extra Tuition

As part of the CEMS curriculum, you will complete:

- An international internship

- One or two academic terms abroad

Good news: you will not pay any tuition fees to the host university during your CEMS exchange semester. You continue paying only your UCLouvain tuition fees, even while studying abroad.

 

Mobility Grants Available

All CEMS students at LSM are eligible for mobility grants to help with the additional costs of studying abroad (travel, housing, local expenses, etc.).

- Monthly support ranges from €200 to €550, depending on the destination country.

- These grants are co-funding tools and do not cover 100% of the expenses related to your exchange.

All students selected for the CEMS Master in International Management (MIM) are required to pay a non-refundable administrative fee of €110 to the CEMS Global Office.

 

This CEMS fee helps fund the central services and resources provided by the CEMS Global Alliance, such as:

- Global digital tools and platforms

- International career support

- Alumni networking opportunities

- Programme coordination across member schools

 

How to Pay
Students will receive detailed payment instructions directly from the CEMS Global Office after being officially selected into the programme.

CEMS students, both local and incoming, are required to pay fees for two mandatory CEMS activities:

- Block Seminar: €200

- Global Citizenship Seminar (GC Seminar): €100

 

These CEMS-LSM fees help cover the organizational costs of these essential learning experiences, which are core components of the CEMS Master in International Management (MIM) curriculum.

As a first-year CEMS student at Louvain School of Management, you will be asked to pay a €45 CEMS Club Belgium fee per semester.

This fee helps fund a wide range of student-led activities organized by CEMS Club Belgium, including:

- Networking dinners and social events

- Career-related conferences and company visits

- Day trips and cultural experiences

- Integration activities for local and international students

 

Participating in these events is a great way to connect with other CEMS students, develop your soft skills, and enjoy the CEMS spirit throughout the year.

Are you a first-year CEMS student at LSM and receiving a scholarship from the French Community of Belgium or UCLouvain (“étudiant boursier”)? You may be eligible for one of two €5,000 study allowances to help cover the additional costs related to the CEMS MIM programme.

 

Each year, two financial grants of €5,000 are awarded:

- One from McKinsey & Company

- One from the International Chair Christiane and Jacques Berghmans

 

These CEMS scholarships are intended to support students during Term 2 of the first academic year, helping with expenses such as:

- International travel

- Accommodation abroad

- Participation in CEMS seminars and other programme activities

How to Apply

To apply for this financial support:

  1. Wait until you have received confirmation of your scholarship status from the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles or UCLouvain.

  2. Send an email to the CEMS LSM Programme Manager at lsm-cems@uclouvain.be with your request.

  3. You must apply no later than December of your first academic year.

The CEMS LSM Office will then provide you with the necessary details and next steps.
