L'Institut d’études européennes Saint-Louis (IEEB) est un institut interfacultaire d’enseignement et de recherche de l'UCLouvain Saint-Louis Bruxelles. Sa mission est de fédérer, coordonner et soutenir les activités de recherche et de formation dans le domaine stratégique des questions européennes.
Une approche authentiquement interdisciplinaire
L’IEEB se positionne comme un catalyseur de la recherche collective en études européennes. Il favorise un dialogue constant et structurant entre chercheuses et chercheurs issus de disciplines variées : science politique, droit, économie, histoire, philosophie, et sciences de la communication.
Excellence et reconnaissance internationale
L'engagement de l'Institut pour la qualité de sa recherche est attesté par de nombreux financements prestigieux.
- Financements Compétitifs : Les membres de l'IEEB obtiennent régulièrement des financements nationaux (FNRS, FSR) et européens (Horizon Europe, MSCA) pour des projets de recherche doctoraux et postdoctoraux.
- Réseau Jean Monnet : L'IEEB est un acteur majeur du programme Erasmus+ Jean Monnet de la Commission européenne. Il a obtenu plusieurs labels de reconnaissance, dont le Centre d'excellence Jean Monnet EUMERGENCIES (2025-2028) ou EUNMUTE (2022-2025), ainsi que plusieurs Chaires Jean Monnet ad personam et Modules Jean Monnet en cours.
Publications et diffusion du savoir
L’institut assure également une mission de diffusion de la recherche à travers l'édition scientifique :
- Il dirige et anime la collection Idées d’Europe chez l’éditeur Bruylant-Larcier ;
- Il est responsable d’une collection aux Presses universitaires Saint-Louis (PUSL).
