Once your application is confirmed, it will be reviewed by the Enrolment Office. You will receive regular email updates on the progress of your application. You can also check the status of your application by logging in to your account.

What does the status of your application mean?

You have not yet finalised your application, so it has not yet been confirmed by the Enrolment Office.

 

How to finalise your application?

- Log in to your application.

- Click "Edit" and follow all steps.

- You can confirm your application in the “Finalisation” tab.

Your file has been sent to the Enrolment Office, which will contact you as soon as possible.

 

When will the Enrolment Office start reviewing your application?

- For European students who completed a Belgian curriculum, processing starts in June.

- For international students, processing starts in January.

 

What is the average processing time for an application?

Processing time depends on the application’s complexity.

- For European students who completed a Belgian curriculum: one to four weeks.*

- For international students: three to eight weeks.*

 

(*) These ranges are approximate and may be extended in exceptional circumstances.

Your application has been deemed incomplete. The Enrolment Office sent you an email and paused processing. You have 15 days to submit the missing documents.

 

How to complete your application?

- Log in to your application.

- Click “Upload missing documents”.

- Attach the requested documents.

- Processing will resume when all required documents have been uploaded.

Can’t meet the 15-day deadline?

- Contact your campus Enrolment Office.

Congratulations! The Enrolment Office accepted your application and notified you by email.

 

What next?

- Follow the instructions provided in the email.

- Move on to the next step: “Prepare your arrival at UCLouvain.”

Unfortunately, your application was not accepted. You will find the reasons in the letter attached to the notification email sent by the Enrolment Office.

Do you believe the reasons for denial are unfounded and wish to dispute it?

- Follow the appeal procedure indicated in the denial letter attached to the email.

- Please do not contact the Enrolment Office regarding this matter.

What should you do while waiting for the decision regarding your file?

Is the start of the academic year approaching (14 September) or have classes already begun and you still haven't received a response from the Enrolment Office?

 

Don't waste any time and contact your faculty to receive basic information:

- Annual programme (PAE)

- Registration for practical classes (TP)

- Course timetable

- Information sessions

- ...

 

Note: students who need to apply for a VISA should not travel to Belgium without a letter of authorisation for enrolment.
