The CEMS Master in International Management (MIM) at the Louvain School of Management (LSM) is open exclusively to students who meet the admission requirements and enroll in one of LSM’s 2-year Master 120 programs:

The CEMS MIM is fully integrated into LSM’s standard Master’s curriculum and begins in September of the first year of the Master 120 program.

General Requirements

Check if you satisfy the Master in Business Engineering (120) or Management (120) Admission Requirements (registration at UCLouvain/LSM is not required at this stage of the application process).

Good to know: academic verification requests will be considered only for candidates and after the online application period.

 

CEMS MIM Additional Requirements:

 

    1. You have completed ALL the PREREQUISITE CREDITS. Combining multiple additional teaching units with the CEMS program is not allowed.

 

    2. You are able to FOLLOW ALL COURSES included in your programme. No exemption from part of the CEMS study programme will be granted in the course of the annual validation of the student’s programme. 

You cannot apply if you have or are enrolled in a Master's degree (at LSM or elsewhere) with similar courses. Overlaps between your current studies and the CEMS MiM are forbidden.

 

In addition to LSM Master's admission requirements, you also need to be able to provide the following CEMS-specific proof of academic and English preparation by March 1, 2026, or your application cannot be considered :

 

     3. A weighted average of 67,00% obtained in a Bachelor's degree from a Benelux country  (or on 2 years and a half of the Bachelor's degree if not graduated yet) OR GMAT Exam total score of min. 600 or GMAT Focus Edition total score of min. 555 (Please note: your Official Score Report will be available within 3-5 days of completing your exam. May occasionally take up to 20 days) OR GRE min. quantitative score of 158 and verbal reasoning score of 158. Students with a non-Belgian Bachelor's degree from a CEMS School or one of our DD Partner Schools can be exempted from the GMAT if they have a min. B grade (ECTS grading scale). 
 

 

    4. Proof of English proficiency*:
 

    - Mother tongue declaration form

    - TOEFL iBT: min. 100 (with a score of at least 20 in each section)

    - IELTS Academic test (on paper or on computer/IELTS Indicator: min. 7.0

    - Pearson test of English Academic (PTE): min. 68

    - Cambridge Advanced English (CAE): min. B grade (CEFR Level C1)

    - Cambridge Business English Certificate (BEC): min. higher B grade

    - Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English(CPE): min. C grade

    - A Bachelor's or Master's diploma entirely taught in English from an English-speaking country or a CEMS or EQUIS/AACSB accredited institution

    - A-level GCSE issued in Singapore

 

Important Note: CEMS does not accept TOEFL MyBest Scores or IELTS Academic One Skill Retake.

 

*If you cannot pass the English test by March 1, 2026, due to academic reasons, you could send it by the end of August.

Submit your online application via www.cems.org/selection between December 1, 2025, and March 1, 2026, for the 2026–2028 CEMS intake.

On the CEMS.org platform, the registration will display “Academic year: 2027/2028”. This is completely normal, as it refers to the CEMS year, which corresponds to the second year of the LSM CEMS Master’s programme.

 

Required Documents

Your application must include the following:

   1. One PDF file named “FamilyNAME_FirstNAME_CEMS_LSM_CV” containing:

 

    - A 1-page motivation letter in English (A4 format)

 

    - A CV in English, including a portrait picture (for administrative purposes only)

 

   2. Separate PDF files:

 

    - How You Heard About Us: Indicate how you learned about the CEMS program (e.g., Google Ads, Master’s online platform, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google search, word of mouth, student fair, etc.).

 

    - Interview availability: If you will not be in Belgium at the time of the interview, please specify your country and city so the interview can be scheduled on Teams.

 

    - GMAT or GRE (if applicable – see Step 1 for details).

 

    - Transcript of Records with GPA of all university studies (including the current year). Course titles must be clearly listed & Copy of university diploma(s) (if available).

 

    - Copy of your official English certificate (or print screen of online result if the official copy is not yet available). If you cannot take the English test by February 25, 2025 due to academic reasons, you may submit it by the end of August.

 

    - Proof of payment (85€ non-refundable) for your CEMS application:

Important Notes

 

  - All PDF files must be named starting with: FamilyNAME_FirstNAME_CEMS_LSM_...

 

  - Applications with missing or incorrectly compiled documents (unless authorized by the LSM CEMS Office) will be rejected.

 

  - By applying to the CEMS Master in International Management (MIM) at LSM, students acknowledge and agree that their data and application file will be shared with the LSM CEMS MIM Office and Jury Members for the proper organization of the selection process.

 

CEMS MIM Selection Interviews – March 30, 2026

All applicants who meet the admission requirements and have submitted a complete online application will be invited by email to attend the CEMS Master in International Management (MIM) selection interview on March 30, 2026 at Louvain-la-Neuve.

    - For applicants living abroad, the interview will take place online via Microsoft Teams.

    - If you cannot attend the interview for academic reasons, please notify the CEMS Office by February 28, 2026.


About the Selection Interview

The CEMS MIM selection interview at LSM:

   - lasts approximately 20 minutes

   - is conducted in English and in any other languages spoken by the candidate

   - is led by representatives from CEMS Corporate Partners, the Louvain School of Management (LSM), and the CEMS Office

Your motivation letter and CV submitted during the application will serve as preparation materials for the interviewers.


Selection Criteria

During the interview, candidates are evaluated on CEMS-wide criteria, including:

 

   - Intellectual potential and academic knowledge

   - Attitude, interpersonal skills, and leadership qualities

   - International orientation and cultural adaptability

   - Motivation for joining the CEMS Master in International Management (MIM)

 

Knowledge of a third language (or a second language if English is your mother tongue) is considered an asset, but it is not a mandatory requirement for entry into the CEMS MIM at LSM.

 

The Louvain School of Management seeks students with:

Notification of Results

Candidates will be notified of the jury’s decision by email within 1–2 weeks after the interview.

Successful applicants will receive a conditional admission offer to the CEMS MIM program at UCLouvain, pending successful completion of their Bachelor’s degree (with confirmation of the 67% weighted average for Belgian diplomas).

 

If you are accepted into the CEMS Master in International Management (MIM) at Louvain School of Management (LSM), UCLouvain, you must officially enroll in one of the following 2-year Master 120 programs as soon as possible:

 

   - CEMS–Business Engineering (INGE2MS/G)

   - CEMS–Management (GEST2MS/GE)

 

The earlier you complete your enrollment at UCLouvain/LSM, the sooner you will gain full access to the CEMS program resources. New students and current UCLouvain students must register online through the official portal.

 

Enrollment Deadlines:

 

   - Non-EU citizens: March 31st

   - EU citizens: August 31st 

 

Important Requirements for Official Enrollment

   1. Completion of Bachelor’s Degree:

    - You must complete all bachelor-level credits before enrolling in the CEMS MIM.

    - Submit proof of successful completion as soon as your bachelor’s degree is awarded.

  - For Belgian bachelor’s degrees, candidates must confirm a minimum 67% weighted average; for international degrees, GMAT or GPA B ECTS is required.

 

   2. First-Year Master’s Requirements:

    - You must pass all exams and acquire a minimum of 50 ECTS credits from LSM Master-level courses (excluding internship, language courses, and prerequisites) by June of the first year.

    - All remaining Master-level ECTS credits must be completed by August of the first year.

    - Failure to meet these requirements (e.g., grade below 10 in any exam) will result in withdrawal from the CEMS MIM program; you will continue your second year in the regular LSM Master’s program without the CEMS exchange.

 

   3. CEMS Exchange Term(s):

    - The destination for your international exchange term(s) will be assigned during the first year of your Master’s program.

    - Exchange placements are subject to a separate allocation process.
