LPORT 1100

• This 90-hour course runs for 3 hours per week throughout the academic year.
• It is an 'all faculty' course, open to all students (both UCLouvain and non-UCLouvain).
• CEFR target level for languages : A2 for all four skills (listening, reading, speaking and writing).

LPORT 1100E

• Part 1, which corresponds to the 45 hours of Q1
• Consists of 45 hours of classes at a rate of 3 hours per week exclusively during the first quarter (Q1).
• CEFR target level for languages : A1 for all four skills.

LPORT 1300

• This 90-hour course runs at a rate of 3 hours per week throughout the year.
• The course is open to all students (both UCLouvain and non-UCLouvain), who have reached level A2 of the CEFR.
• CEFR target levels for languages :
  • ∗ Listening comprehension and oral expression: B1+
  • ∗ Reading comprehension: B2
  • ∗ Written expression: B1

• Part 1 corresponds to the first term (Q1): 45 hours of classes at a rate of 3 hours per week.
• This part is intended for students who have achieved the objectives of the LPORT1100 course, i.e. the A2 elementary level of the CEFR.
• CEFR target levels for languages : 
  • ∗ Listening, reading and speaking comprehension: B1
  • ∗ Writing: B1-

Depending on requirements (e.g. to prepare for an exchange programme in Q1 of academic year n+1), this annual course may only be taken in Q2, depending on your level :

LPORT 1300 A

• Part 2 corresponds to the 45 hours of Q2 : 45 hours of classes at a rate of 3 hours per week during the second term only.
• This part is intended for students who have reached level B1 of the CEFR.
• CEFR target levels for languages:
  • ∗ Listening comprehension and oral expression: B1+
  • ∗ Reading comprehension: B2
  • ∗ Written expression: B1
