UCLouvain Personnel: language course registration

As a UCLouvain staff member, by enrolling on one or more language courses at the ILV, I undertake to attend these courses regularly and to take the exams.
  1. I am aware of the various free language courses offered to UCLouvain staff members, some of which are subject to certain conditions :

The three languages listed below are subject to the following condition :

NOT available to UCLouvain staff members, except in cases of professional necessity.

 

  1. I contact FORM Pascale Steyns or Pascale Therer to assess my professional needs.

     

  2. If FORM confirms my professional needs, I then contact the Head of the Dutch Department by email to find the course that best suits my level. 

     

    Here are just a few examples of our Dutch courses: Dutch courses for "all Faculties" 

  1.    Finally, I complete my enrolment in accordance with both the procedure and the registration conditions, below... 

 

I register exclusively with FORM, the Human Resources Training Unit at UCLouvain.

 

Level test ? Online registration ? Ask questions ? Timetable ? Etc. 

 

Only on FORM !

NOT open to UCLouvain staff members, except in cases of professional necessity.

  2. If FORM confirms my professional needs, I choose a course among Spanish courses for "all Faculties"

     

  3. Finally, I complete my enrolment in accordance with both the procedure and the registration conditions, below... 

     

  1. I then begin the enrolment process for one or more ILV language courses as a member of staff ⇢ see 'BEFORE THE COURSE...'
     
  2. Finally, I familiarise myself with the timetables, venues and arrangements for upcoming exams ⇢ see DURING THE COURSE... / AFTER THE COURSE...

When should I register for language courses?
 

  • Registration is open from mid-August to mid-October.
  • For Q2 courses : registration is open from January to the end of February.

 

1. I attend the INFO Sessions organised at the ILV = optional, but highly recommended

 

2. With the course coordinator (see the differant languages at the top of this page), I determine my level of language proficiency 

⇢ access test for FLE courses, French as a foreign language 

 

3. Next, I complete the online form entitled 'Application for authorisation to enrol on an ILV course as a member of UCLouvain staff' (one to three language courses per academic year / per quadrimester for our French as a Foreign Language courses).

Schedules
 

I follow the schedules & classrooms of my course, which may change from week to week / day to day (exceptional change of day and/or time, moving to a computer room for a test, etc.).

 

All this - and more - happens on Mon horaire ! 

 

Exams
 

For the exams in 

  • January (and its pre-session Q1, Week 14) 
  • June (and its pre-session Q2, Week 13)
  • September,

I am automatically registered by the ILV Secretariat.

 

⇢ However, I need to check my details via ‘My Studies’ ► ‘My Student Record’ ► ‘My Assessment Enrolment’ :


1) I select the course ‘PERS LV’
2) I amend my enrolment if necessary, by unticking the box
3) CLICK on ‘Save and proceed to the enrolment summary’
4) I submit my enrolment  

My results

⇢ The day after the results are announced, I can view my exam marks via 'My Studies' ► 'My Student Record' ► 'Annual Programme'.

 

My Certificate

⇢ If I enrol on the courses and exams and pass them, I can request a Transcript of records, by completing the online form reserved for UCLouvain staff members only
